Daytrana Delivers Customizable MPH Plasma Levels

MPH Levels Are a Result of Wear Time and Patch Size

Removable Daytrana® delivers therapeutic MPH plasma levels for long- or shorter-acting control

  • These data illustrate the unique feature of the patch, which stops administration of additional medication upon patch removal so that blood levels of medication can start to fall
  • Transdermal administration of methylphenidate exhibits much less first-pass effect than oral administration to allow for a more efficient delivery of the medication
    • Consequently, a much lower dose of Daytrana on a mg/kg basis compared to oral dosages may still produce higher exposures of MPH with transdermal administration compared to oral administration
